I would love to meet the salesperson who…

well, actually to meet the person whose idea it was to market 58 plus shades of grey to the auto paint industry for the past five years.

Seriously, this color covers all brands of vehicles, leaving no stone unturned: the Beamers have it, the MB’s have it, Fords, Oldsmobiles, Mazdas, on and on.

There’s a market for you:  tap into that and sell away!!! The perks have got to be over the top. I’ll bet that person is on an island somewhere enjoying the paper umbrella drink and not counting the calories, but the coins: cha-ching!

cha ching

Meanwhile, for those of us who bought, we can be found in any mall parking lot, pretending not to be lost, verifying the hubcaps, squinting for license plates and light types to distinguish whose is whose, and when we think we’re close, click the unlock button on the keyring in hopes that Lassie will answer.

Ahh… relief.

Climb into car comfort.

“Oh honey, look at that! Is that car the color of wine?

A new horizon.

Zoom ZOOM zoom.

September

Years ago, a boyfriend and I broke up at this time of year.

It used to depress me. Not anymore. Life has its seasons and

I am thankful and often reevaluate my seasonal situations.

Sitting and being: gratefulness resides.

This is what else surfaced.

1. Sit review: a hero in my own mind, ha.

As for this site and blogging, I have learned that just because I can throw a room together and have it breathe beauty. (Yes, breathe.) or give words of encouragement, does not mean

that I can decorate a page with words.  There are rules. I get that. Now.

So, at my pace, in my time, I will take a class starting at zero.

2. Handiwork. Until then, my 3D world is budding with some of my own new artwork.

Have you ever tried the Painting and Vino class?

There’s a zero to hero here as well.

It was a very therapeutic experience.  These oils acrylics were more forgiving than watercolor.

I thought to go back and complete this picture. Get my own paints, add a little leaves here and there,

lighten the black branch in front…and decided against it.

Enjoy your September.

Back to Cool, literally

P.S.  Dang it. I hit the pub key and some of you are getting editing updates. Mea Culpa.

Remembrance

***

Please take a moment of silence to remember loss of loved ones, their families and those of us that remain in the land of the living on this tragic day in history.

When I posted this, it was the eve of September 10, 2014 in my time zone. I woke aghast to see that it shows September 11, 2014….talking about ice cream…banging my head on the desk and holding my heart.***

Unlikely Pairings

New to me:  Ice Cream and Popcorn

There was a new parlor on the outskirts of town.

What the heck, I’m old enough to drive now. Grab my friend Sheila and we’re off.

ice cream parlor

Wow, I’d seen nothing like this parlor except in the movies.

Sitting at the parlor table with our cones, we were brought a bowl of

popcorn. I look at Sheila who tells me to “dip your cone in it, like this.”

I dipped and tasted:

It was Reese’s Pieces commercial only three times more!

Not just two smoothies, rather: smooth and bumpy; hot and cold; sweet and salty.

The marriage of munching the popcorn as it gave way to the chilling ice cream

meeting in the middle and churning to a savory blend of absolute delectable divine.

Life’s like that: Joy and Sorrow,  Ying-n- Yang

Yah-di-Dah.

simple ice cream and popcorn

Off to the store now. Yum.
