[Haiku] @ 3am

It’s amazing we get by
On few hour’s sleep
Care take for my man
Who shakes counting sheep

The choices we make
To have and to hold
One cannot possibly guess
How love can unfold

The burdens we bear
Making it well worth the cost
Projects together
Our time is not lost

His heart beats with mine
The times that we share
Does not cost a dime
And priceless compare

His skin may seem thick
And few are his words
He gets to the point
No mistake he’s been heard

How blessed am I
To have won his affection
Our tender moments
They sure beat the rejection

‘Tis now three thirty
The nights curtains blackening
The shaking has simmered to
Slow slumber sighing

To love is a choice
Where we often win
To think that he was fearful
I wouldn’t like cats.

No rhyme? such a sin!  End with a grin and a wink and it’s back to sleep I go….snow moon

…back to sleep I go. #snowmoonandsea #winkwink

Let it Rain

Lovemydad
Sideways These Days

The music of the morning rain

just beyond my window pain

massaging the land with repetitious splashes of moisture.

Varying degrees of timbre and pitch

a choral cacophony

Fitting that nature should join my hearts phrase

Memories echo of long ago days

How many gallons have poured from the sky?

Can you pay that water bill? Neither can I…

Picking up pieces just tears of my heart

placing them down again,

oh where do I start?…

What’s about this paradigm of a need to say goodbye

Why?

he never did,

why should I?

it used to have us complain “you never say good-bye”

Today’s Daily Prompt is:  Take Me to the Moon:

How far would you go for someone you love?  How far would you want someone else to go for you?

I would love for my answer to both parts of the prompt to be anywhere.  Wouldn’t that sound great?  Wouldn’t that mean I was the bestest parent, family member, friend, heck even the bestest complete stranger in someone’s world?  Yeah, perhaps on the surface it would.  I mean ask a lot of other parents out there what they would do for their children and I suspect the most common response would be this:  anything.  But I’ve had enough journeys on this adventure called life that have taught me otherwise.  I do my best to have and express unconditional love for others, but I do have conditions on the parameters of the relationships I have with them.

Here are a few examples …

No longer shrinking back in fear
