Let it Rain

Lovemydad
Sideways These Days

The music of the morning rain

just beyond my window pain

massaging the land with repetitious splashes of moisture.

Varying degrees of timbre and pitch

a choral cacophony

Fitting that nature should join my hearts phrase

Memories echo of long ago days

How many gallons have poured from the sky?

Can you pay that water bill? Neither can I…

Picking up pieces just tears of my heart

placing them down again,

oh where do I start?…

What’s about this paradigm of a need to say goodbye

Why?

he never did,

why should I?

it used to have us complain “you never say good-bye”

I’m glad it rained on this anniversary of your passing. #breathe

The first Amazon review is in. 5 stars and articulate, generous words. Thank you so much T.T Thomas. You are an angel.

Breath-Taking Suspense

From the opening lines to the final paragraph, this lean, taut story of suspense and choices made is memorable. Beautifully written, the style is at once sparse and filled to the brim with feelings and emotions. What does a man caught between two wrongs do to escape the torment of his choices? The author has achieved a masterful grasp of building a story with a pace and tension that keeps the reader on the edge while quietly building the characters’ inner conflicts to match the narrative action. It was a parallel universe of two men, two conflicts, two dramatic outcomes. The novella was as much neo-Noir as political thriller, and the author did justice to both genre. Highly recommended.

The Dogwood Legacy

Introducing the thrill-ogy by Robert Lamber Jones…! (cheers)

PNEUMYTHOLOGY

Please bear with me for just this one post while I indulge in some shameless self-promotion (something, incidentally, with which I am uncomfortable) by giving a  brief overview of a trilogy I have written. It is The Dogwood Legacy, and it has been available on Amazon and Kindle since late May of this year.

The first book of the series is Jacob Leviathan, set in the Ozark Mountains of the midwestern United States. This is my personal re-invention of a real Ozark legend involving an imaginary beast called a jimplecute (or jimplicute, as I have chosen to spell it). It is, therefore, a fabricated folktale.  Clickherefor sample chapters.  Click here to purchase on Amazon or Kindle.Nathan_Turner_Cover_for_Kindle

The second book is Nathan Turner. It is an urban legend of my own creation and takes place in the midwest.  Click herefor sample…
